Someone had to have changed me... without my PERMISSION!!!

As I come to my conclusion to leave the room and get out, a door opens.

From the room that I said was the bathroom, I was in fact correct, walks the Alpha King. With a towel hanging dangerously low around his hips. I had a clear view of his defined V-line and abs. I wonder what would it be like to run my hands down his defined chest... WAIT! Where did that come from?

"Oh you're awake. Do you think you can walk? Cause you can take a shower if you want, or a bath if you prefer. I can help you if you need. Or if you want to eat first I can have someone bring you food."

He said all of this while I just gawked at him and a blush started to creep onto my face and neck. I think he realized and quickly went into the closet.

Not even five seconds later he comes back out in a black t-shirt and jeans. He looked good and his hair was still slightly wet from his shower. The t-shirt hugged his muscles, making them bulge with each movement.

I slowly crawl backwards till my back hits the headboard. He starts walking towards me and as he gets closer I let out a whimper which causes him to freeze in place.

A look of hurt and anger flick through his eyes almost too fast for me to register.

"You don't have to be afraid of me. I won't hurt you. I only want to get to know you and I will be nothing but caring. I will protect you for the rest of our lives."

I want to believe him but all I have ever known is pain and abuse. Lies and suffering are my entire life.

Come on Audrey give him a chance! He is our mate and will never hurt us!

You can't promise that Kenna! He could be just like Alpha Jordan! We must keep our guard up.

I stare at The Alpha King and slowly nod my head at him. Trying to get him to realize he can come near me.

He gets the hint and slowly approaches the bed and sits near me. I tense slightly at the close proximity but relax when his scent floods my senses.

Say something Idiot!

"M-mate..."

A large smile graces his beautiful face and I can't help the blush and smile that shows on my face too. He has a small dimple on the right side of his cheek and his smile has a slight dip on the left, making his smile lopsided.

"H-hello A-alpha K-king..."

The smile on his face starts to disappear and he slightly tenses from using his title.
