Melany had gained some benefits from the first date with Lyman and wanted to have a second date with him, but she was rejected soon.
She couldn't figure out why, so she could only start from Daryl.
Time flied and it was weekend. Zack took Daryl back for dinner.
Knowing that the three of them would come back for dinner, Karla had already prepared for them!
"Cannon, Zack and others will be back soon."
After pouring a cup of tea for Cannon, Karla said gently, "Please listen to me this time. Don't be so hostile to Daryl, and don't be against Zack anymore."
"I know."
No one knew what Karla had done to persuade Cannon, but this time, he seemed to be much more rational.
After a while, the sound of Zack and others coming in came from downstairs.
Daryl sat straight on the sofa and looked at the direction of the stairs occasionally.
Finally, Cannon came down with Karla!
"Grandpa!"
Benjamin greeted him.
Cannon was quite happy. He nodded and said, "Benjamin."
Then he walked over and sat down.
"Where are great grandpa and others?" The little guy asked.
"They are still talking. They won't be here until a while later."
Replied Cannon.
When he spoke, he didn't look at Daryl.
Daryl looked in the direction of Karla, and Karla smiled gently at her.
When it was time for dinner, Daryl sat at the table and then had dinner. But Cannon still didn't say a word about her!
After dinner, she and Zack looked at each other, indicating that it seemed to be useful for Melany to talk to Karla.
However, Zack took a look at the direction of Cannon with his deep eyes!
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
Cannon couldn't stand his rebellious son looking at him so intently.
Zack looked away and said indifferently, "Nothing."
Cannon also looked away. He felt guilty and was afraid that Zack would find it out!
Daryl saw that the father and son had a peaceful conversation. Although it was short, it was incredible!
She couldn't believe that Karla had such a great influence on Cannon. After dinner in the old house, Zack took Daryl and Benjamin back.
But on the way back, Daryl received a call from her father.
She took a look at Zack and Benjamin, motioned them not to talk, and then answered the phone.
"Dad."
"Daryl, I... I'm flying tonight."
"Well, then I... What?"...
Daryl didn't respond at first. When she came to herself, she was stunned. "Dad, what did you say?"
"Here is the thing. Daryl, your mother asked the housekeeper to call. She said she had forgiven me!"
Martin was a little excited. "I can't wait any longer. I want to take care of her, so I bought the ticket last night!"
"Oh, I see."
Before Daryl could ask her mother how she forgave him, he said.
"Dad is at the airport now. You don't have to come back to see me off. Take good care of yourself in D City. When your mother recovers, we will come back to see you."
"Okay."
