Soon, Daryl's part was filmed. According to the newly revised script, her role had been appreciated and favored by the emperor.

By this time, Tara was head over heels in love with the emperor.

When Daryl got into character, the actor playing the emperor didn't appear to be the same person anymore. Instead, Leon's image appeared in her mind. When she faced him, she smiled sheepishly at him, and stared at him with the same admiration she had for him five years ago.

But he was just going to use her, destroy her, and throw her into the abyss.

"Cut!"

Vivian was displeased with the take. She frowned and called out, "Lewis, are you in the right state of mind? Stop staring at Daryl absentmindedly and say your lines!

Daryl was finished with her line, so she lowered her head. She didn't expect that the lead actor was distracted.

"Director, I'm sorry. I was just a little distracted earlier,"

Lewis apologized to Vivian. "I'm sorry. Let's do another take."

In reality, the reason he was distracted was because of Daryl standing before him. For so many years, he had thought of her as a goddess. When he first joined the crew, he was delighted to see her. Daryl was amused by the young actor. He looked adorable when he was acting silly.

Realizing that he was being impolite, Lewis smiled sheepishly at her.

Soon, Vivian told everyone to start again. Lewis got into character, and Daryl also mentally prepared.

When all the scenes were finished, Daryl went back to her dressing room to remove her makeup and undid her hair while continuously memorizing her lines. While she was preoccupied, Sofia went outside to answer the phone. "Daryl, someone is looking for you outside."

A staff came in, looking for Daryl.

Upon hearing this, Daryl got up and said, "I see. I'll be right outside. Thank you."

She put down the script and stepped out of the dressing room. As soon as she got out, she saw Leon.

They hadn't seen each other for a long time. Leon didn't appear to be affected by the incident that happened in the past. He stood tall and dazzling amongst the crowd, bearing a unique air about him.

Daryl's heart trembled, but she didn't allow herself to display such emotions.

She wore an indifferent expression. Even if she hadn't changed her outfit, she still looked extraordinarily beautiful. Her delicate features, even without makeup, were still enough to charm everyone. It seemed that she became the glamorous actress she was five years ago.

At the first sight of Daryl, Leon could tell that she was no longer the housewife who could endure all hardships that befell on her in the Lu family.

But even if that were the case, she would never stand a chance against him.

"Daryl, it seems that I underestimated you."

Leon stood in front of her, looking down at her. His eyes gleamed with malice, as if he was staring at an enemy. "You came back to work and created a hype in the entertainment circle just to spite Candida, didn't you?
