Realizing that she was in the wrong, Raelyn stopped asking for help.
But Daryl didn't have the heart to see her like this. She thought she'd better tell Zack about Raelyn's thoughts when she went back.
After the dinner, Sofia and Lyman sent Raelyn and Daryl back one after another. Afterwards, the two went home together.
When Daryl came back home, Zack hadn't come back yet.
But not long after, Zack came back as if he was counting the time.
"It's so late. Have you had dinner?"
Daryl asked.
"No."
Knowing that she was going to have dinner with her friends, Zack didn't want to go home early. He worked late in the company and didn't come back until now.
"Then why don't you eat?" Daryl asked with concern in her eyes.
"I have no appetite without you."
As Zack spoke, he reached out to hug her and continued in a low voice, "I want to eat what you cook."
"Okay,"
Daryl agreed, "Let go of me first. I'll go to the kitchen."
"Okay."
Zack kissed her forehead and let her go.
Daryl went to the kitchen, but he followed her.
"You can sit down outside,"
Daryl looked at his tall figure leaning against the kitchen door and said, not knowing whether to cry or to laugh.
"You're blocking the light!"
"There is a light in the kitchen."
"You cook for me. I just want to have a look," Zack said in a low voice.
Daryl didn't want to talk to him anymore. She quickly prepared the noodles for him.
After she served the noodles on the table, Zack sat at the table and ate seriously.
Daryl looked at him with a smile.
"Hey, Zack, do you remember that I cooked a lot of dishes for you and Bennie when I first came here? But what did you say?"
"What do you mean?" he asked calmly.
"You said it tasted bad!"
Daryl pretended to be unhappy and frowned like him. "Look, back then you frowned so tightly that you could squeeze a fly to death. I thought my cooking was not to your taste as a noble master!"
"Well, I have said that?
I don't remember," said Zack in an indifferent voice
"Wow, are you going to act shamelessly now?"
Daryl looked at him in shock.
How could he forget what he had said with such a high IQ and outstanding memory?
"I don't remember."
Zack continued to deny. "I don't think I said that. Did Benjamin say that? You must have made a mistake."
'What?
What a shameless man? How could he throw the blame on his son? How could he even think about it?'
Daryl rolled her eyes at him, took out her phone and played with it, ignoring him.
"Daryl,"
seeing that she began to ignore him, Zack called her.
"What's up?"
She glared at him.
"Not enough noodles."
After he finished eating, he pushed the bowl in front of her and said, 'Tm not full."
