When Debby got back to Darkwood with Fred, she immediately applied for jobs in as many top companies as possible. Truth was, her salary in even the top companies won't be enough to foot the debt that her father's company was into but she can 't just seat idle.-

She needs to get a job first and think of other ways to get more money to foot the debt that her father's company was owing.

Today, she had received an invite from the biggest company in Darkwood. After dropping her kid off at his new kindergarten, she went to the company and after a thorough interview, she was advised to start work that day as the position she occupies was needed urgently.

About two hours into work, she received a call from her son's kindergarten that her child had a warm temperature and that she was advised to take him home to rest. So she excused herself from the company and went to pick up her son.

Once they both got inside her car," Debby examined his temperature and asked," Fred, how do you feel?"

"I feel okay."

"No, speak to me. Mommy won't be worried. If you tell me how you feel , I'll be able to know what treatment to give to you," Debby said caringly. She loved her son so much and she can 't afford to let even the slightest sickness happen to him.

"Mommy, you were at work when my teacher called you, right?"

"Yes love," Debby responded.

"Let's go back to your working place, after you are done with work, you can take me to the hospital," Fred said.

Debby felt glad that her son was thoughtful of her. Indeed, today was her first day at work and it was enough for her to take a few minutes off work but for her to leave work for a long time would be too ridiculous.

She placed her hand gently on her son's dark and curly hair and asked, "are you sure you would be fine until I'm done with work?"

"Yes. I'm not so weak mommy," the little boy said.

Debby smiled and kissed his forehead then she started her car and drove back to her company.

"Erm...can you wait here until I'm done?" Debby's car was in the underground garage of the company and the place was very cool.

"Yes." The little boy answered.

"Make sure you't play around, okay? I'll come to check on you often," she said and the little boy don't," remember mommy loves sure you so much.

"I love you more, mum," Fred hugged his mum and after a few seconds, he watched Debby leave.

He was having a headache but he had to pretend like he was fine to his mummy, he didn't want her to get worked up unnecessarily because of him at all. He placed his hand on his aching head gently.

He looked around the numerous beautiful cars in the garage and he marvelled. 'There must be so many rich people working here,' Fred thought to himself.

There was this particular car that looked like it wasn't made in this world. He loved the car so much that he had to step down from his mommy's car to have a better view of the car.

He waddled towards the car and on getting to the car, his small mouth formed an O shape, he touched the car with a bright smile on his lips. The tyres of the car were a little different from other cars so the boy squatted beside one of the tyres and decided to did a practical of what his teacher taught him in school today.
