Sharon jerked and turned back to throw a secret glance towards Leonard's retreating back. She sighed to herself, "Master Leonard's mood swings are getting harder to understand these days."

When Melanie arrived at the university later, Sharon immediately told her about the disappearance of the gift box. 

Melanie was silent for a moment after listening to her. Then, she looked at Sharon with an unreadable expression and slowly asked, "Sharon, what are your feelings towards Leonard?"

Sharon was startled by Melanie's question.

"We're talking about the gift box right now. What does it have to do with Master Leonard?" Sharon wondered. 

Sharon looked at Melanie, confused, but she still replied Melanie honestly, "Master Leonard saved my life, so I respect him and rely on him."

"Just as someone who saved you?" Melanie stared at Sharon.

Sharon looked at Melanie strangely for a few seconds and said, "Of course."

Melanie pursed her lips and frowned. "Then, how about towards Simon?"

Sharon's face immediately heated up.

Melanie looked at Sharon's slightly flushed face and narrowed her eyes slightly. "Do you like him?"

Sharon has always regarded Melanie as her best friend, and she believed that Melanie felt the same way.

Therefore, Sharon did not try to hide the truth. She answered, "I don't hate him. On the contrary, I feel very comfortable when I'm alone with him."

Melanie herself has never dated, so she could not determine whether Sharon liked Simon or just felt comforted by him. 

After pondering for a while, Melanie extended a hand to Sharon.

Sharon blinked. "What?"

"Give me your phone," Melanie replied.

The corners of Sharon's mouth twitched. She took her phone out from under the desk and placed it in Melanie's hand.

Melanie opened the search engine and keyed in everything Sharon had just described.

She clicked on the first search result that came out.

Melanie glanced at the screen and handed it back to Sharon. "Here you go."

Sharon took the phone from her and read the results displayed on the screen. "You most probably like him. That's why you feel relaxed around him instead of being awkward with each other."

"D-Does that mean that I like Simon?" Sharon asked herself mentally.

Sharon shook her head and quitted the application. She returned her phone to under her desk and looked at Melanie, who was staring at her. "I'm not done with my studies yet, so let's not think too much about this. Besides, Master Leonard would never agree to me dating now."
