When he finished his words, Euan found that she had no words for him.

Nobody spoke anymore in the car, and the air in the car felt more and more oppressive. The car took on a ramp and entered the highway and Riley looked outside the window only to see road signs flying by at high speed.

She could feel a huge living and breathing freezer sitting next to her, and it was giving out cold air all the time. Throughout their half-hour journey back home, Riley prayed hard that she wouldn’t freeze to death.

Just as the ambience in the car couldn’t get any more oppressive, Euan’s phone rang suddenly with a simple monotonous sound.

He glanced at the name of the caller displayed on his screen and he couldn’t help frowning.

“Mr. George, it’s my fault for not raising my son well. Kaysorn is not familiar with the ways of the world, so he has offended you and Mrs. George… I beg that you can pardon him this time, I will make sure to apologize in person soon! Mr. George…”

Riley could hear the muffled voice of a middle-aged man sobbing and begging from Euan’s phone. Her heart became like stone as she realized it must be Kaysorn’s father who had called. He was the president of the W&K Corporation.

Riley focused all her attention to get as much information as she could. Although he didn’t know what Euan had done to Kaysorn, but from Luther’s anxious tone, she could deduce that a terrible fate must have befallen Kaysorn.

Euan squeezed his brows impatiently and answered in a lazy tone, “Mr. Cornell, I am aware that you are very busy with business, so you have no time to educate your son. I understand you very well…”

“Mr. George, please be rest assured, I will make sure to lecture him well! I hope that you can forgive him and let him come back first. I beg you…”

Euan replied with a relaxed expression, “Mr. Cornell, I can’t take back the bullet I have shot. Since I’ve decided to see this to the end with your son’s education, I will make sure to be responsible for everything.”

“Mr. George, I…”

“Mr. Cornell, if you ever want to see your son in one piece again, I advise you not to bother me anymore for now.”

After saying that, without hearing Luther’s further pleas, Euan abruptly hung up his phone. He then casually threw his phone on the backseat which landed in the space between the two of them.

Riley sucked in a deep breath. This time, she didn’t dare to utter even a word anymore.

Euan barely exhausted any of his energy while he was able to destroy Kaysorn, one of the four young masters of the capital with ease, let alone herself and Sarah.

As the car continued to speed on the road, the car was enveloped in extreme silence. Euan placed his palms on his thighs and shut his eyes as if he was taking a momentary break. The atmosphere in the car never relaxed despite that.

At the moment, the high-resolution display screen of his phone lit up with blinding light, which caught Riley off guard. She lowered her gaze to take a look and suddenly, her eyes narrowed.

On the screen which was playing some animation indicating the name of the caller, Riley saw a name which disgusted her.

Lydia Saunders!

The ringtone was still that same simplistic one, but this time, Euan didn’t even react to the incoming call, let alone attempting to answer it.

Riley pretended not to know who the caller was as she reminded, “Don’t you want to answer it?”

Only Euan’s continued silence answered her, and then he also flipped the phone on its back.

As the phone was being flipped, the ringtone turned into a soundless vibration. After a while, the phone stopped vibrating.

A smug was formed on Riley’s lips. In the end, was Lydia nothing at all in Euan’s eyes?

The car stopped outside the YJ Villa, and Victor immediately held the car door open for both Euan and Riley to get off it.

Riley stood amidst the buffeting night breeze and stole a glance at Euan. He was wearing a white shirt which was tucked into the black pants. His long and slender legs were a sight to behold and his charisma could even rival that of the night scenery.

However, no matter how attractive he was or how terrible his personality was, Euan was just a husband in name to her.

Her only job was to play the role of a wife perfectly in front of others and then they would part ways after their function. They were just carrying out their roles like a professional following the rules.

She thought that Euan would return home directly, but he instead said to Victor, “Come to pick me up at eight tomorrow.”

“Roger, boss.”

Then, the car sped away into the night.

He was actually planning to stay for the night?

As he met Riley’s gaze, he said ironically, “Aren’t you going in? Who are you waiting for?”

Riley sighed secretly in her heart, “Mr. George, aren’t you going back home to accompany your wife? Why are you staying over in this place?”

There was a hint of envy in her voice.

This was great, woman. At least you still had a response to all this.

Euan walked in large strides and entered the villa without tending to her doubts.

Riley shrugged faintly and quickly followed him.

In the huge living room with a large chandelier hanging above, Euan loosened his collar while lying majestically on the sofa. His legs were perched on top of a glass table with his sparkling leather shoes dangling over the edge. With the length of his legs, it easily exceeded the length of the table.

Riley took off her shoes and when she lowered her head and took a look, she discovered that her heels had blisters all over them due to the friction of the shoes and her skin. The red bruises appeared out of place on her pale white skin

The pain in her knees was even more profound.

She snickered coldly. Her body condition was even worse now.

After pulling her coat close to her skin, Riley was about to go upstairs to change her clothes.

“Come here.”

In the living room, Euan’s voice suddenly sounded. It was infused with an irrefutable honour and arrogance.

“I need to change my clothes. I will come down after doing that.” Riley replied while holding to the railings of the staircase.

“When did I allow you to bargain with me? Do you think that I have been too kind towards you, or do you think that you are already qualified to talk back to me?”

Euan shot an icy glare at her while studying her. It was as if his sharp gaze was going to penetrate her.

Riley could only take a step down the stairs and started to inch towards him. She stood by the sofa and her figure resembled a rack with a thin cloth hanging over it.

Euan scanned her face from the bottom to the top, and he saw that under the glow of the lighting, she had watery lips and her face was full of make-up. They made her look delicate and fascinating. At the same time, it was rare of him to stare at her as serious as he was now; No, to put it more precisely, he never looked at her with such an emotion.

Whenever the image of Kaysorn groping her entered his mind, it ignited Euan’s urge to kill somebody!

This damned woman, she really had the allure to seduce men. Or else, she wouldn’t have…

She continued to stand there, just waiting for him to bring down the hammer of judgement. Euan was angry and frustrated, and with a sharp shift of his voice, he asked coldly, “What the hell is wrong with your house?”
