“I just want a wedding ceremony.” Hylda glanced at her and said nonchalantly, “You better keep your guard up. Stop going shopping and having high tea with those rich girls all the time.”

Sophia still could not process what happened. She only nodded after hearing what Hylda told her. “I got it, mom.”

Albert left not long after he hung up. Xenia quickly told Stella about the information she had gathered earlier.

Stella frowned and fell into her thoughts.

She was still trying to figure out what Hylda’s plan was when she received a text message from the production team of The Palace, telling her that World Peace’s premiere had been rescheduled. The two dramas were supposed to be aired a day apart. However, both premieres fell on the same date at the exact same time, which was the prime-time slot of 8 PM.

The production team of World Peace had cut off the ending of another drama just to secure the slot and premiere World Peace on the same day as The Palace.

It was a despicable move as the ratings of the premiere were very crucial to the production. It could directly affect future investments, online exposure, and public attention.

The original premiere dates of these two shows were already very close to each other, yet World Peace decided to reschedule it to the exact same day. It was very obvious that they were simply trying to overshadow The Palace.

World Peace was adapted from a controversial comic, and it had gained a lot of traction before it was even aired. The production team was known for not prioritizing quality in their work. They only wanted to take advantage of the hype and create a money tree.

Even though The Palace had been very low-key in its marketing campaign, Daniel’s reputation was just too good. Everyone knew that every drama he directed would be worth watching.

If The Palace were to be aired first, audiences who watched it would not be able to stand a money-grabbing drama like World Peace. So, they had to be aired on the same day to overshadow The Palace and secure a share of the viewership.

By doing so, even if some people realized that The Palace was a better drama than World Peace, it would not matter anymore because the show had already ended and made enough money forthem. Nobody would care anymore after that.

Then, The Palace would become a drama with good reviews but no viewership.
