“But he was too late. I’d already tempered with the surveillance footage.” Xavier paused for a moment. “Mr. Kane suspected you?”

Trevor loosened his tie. “Keegan isn’t stupid. I testified for Stella. How can he not be

suspicious? He’d definitely immediately go and check the surveillance footage when he knew Aurora got beaten up.”

“Mr. Kane didn’t go and check the surveillance footage. He wanted to destroy it, just like us,” said Xavier.

Trevor stopped moving. After a while, he said, “Are you sure he wanted to go and destroy the footage?”
