Mr. Williams Wants His Ex-Wife Back novel Chapter 138

Linda must have been by his side the whole time Adam went to Los Angeles these two days!

"Let's go for lunch." Looking at Rebecca's fake smile, Adam still smiled at her gently.

Rebecca nodded and agreed. Then, she let him lead her to a restaurant not far away.

To her surprise, Adam was polite and humble in front of her classmates. He didn't have the condescending airs of the president of Matthey Group. He kept talking and laughing with Caroline and the others. It felt as if he was their classmate instead of Rebecca.

At the dinner table, he not only asked Caroline and the others to help themselves to eat more, but also kept picking up food for them. His gentle and considerate character not only made Caroline and the others but also made Rebecca feel that he was a perfect husband.

However, for some reason, Rebecca suddenly felt a little disgusted with his behaviours right now.

He could pretend in front of his family, in front of people related to the Williams Family, in front of Justin, in front of other outsiders, she could accept, tolerate, or even cooperate with him without complaint. But she couldn't accept he acted like a wonderful husband before her close friends, which annoyed her.

What did Adam want? He just pretended to be elegant and gentle in front of everyone all the time. Did he want to lead all the negative public opinion to her after their divorce?

Therefore, when he saw that her mouth was stained with oil, and he reached out to wipe the oil off in front of everyone. Yet she suddenly turned her head away in disgust and said in a low voice, "I'm sorry. I need to go to the Lady's room."

After that, she pushed the chair away and got up. She then turned and strode to open the door of the room and left.

Adam's hand paused in mid-air and he froze for a moment, but only a moment later, he quickly stood up and smiled at everyone. He said, "Excuse me. I'll go see my wife." Then, he quickly followed her out.

Rebecca had no intention of going to the bathroom at all, so when she left the private room, she just went around to get some fresh air.
