For a moment, Samuel felt their distance had noticeably closed, and he couldn't help but empathize, "You shouldn't be too upset either."
"Although Xan is the best in the world, with your qualities, you could easily find another outstanding girl to get by with."
Orion looked at him, "I don't like to get by."
"Then you have a good vision and strong principles!"
Samuel suddenly saw him in a new light, feeling a sense of regret for not meeting him sooner.
"Unfortunately, you met Xan too late. She's about to get married."
Orion's expression faltered slightly, and Samuel seemed to realize something, his gaze sweeping over him.
"Honestly, I don't like Matthew at all. He's foolish, cowardly, with all the wrong intentions. He's unambitious, and from top to bottom, inside and out, there's nothing about him that matches Xan. Well, I shouldn't say that. In my eyes, no man on this Earth good enough for Xan."
Did his words just now have negative implications?
Orion had already lost his love, and now he had to watch Xan agree to marry someone else. Hearing such words must be incredibly heartbreaking.
It's truly a scene that would make anyone cry.
Considering Orion had once gifted him an expensive golf club and perfume, Samuel decided to offer some comfort, albeit against his better conscience, "If it were you, you might just be enough to match her."
"Really?" Orion's brows lifted slightly.
Samuel nodded, "Really!"
After all, no matter what he said, Xan couldn't possibly marry him. Why not offer him some consolation?
"No takebacks."
