Charles Zhang returned to Josie again, when finding Josie didn't follow him. He was in front of her, seeing her eyes were full of tears.
"Are you still thinking about that thing?" Charles enquired. He couldn't coax a girl.
Josie shook her head and looked towards the place where Eliza left.
Charles looked at Josie, and then he looked to the lighting house. It seemed there was a secret.
Did the secret connected with Josie?
"Mr. Zhang, I'd like to stay alone. You are recovering. You should take a break early. I'm sorry that you accompany me so late." Josie explained.
"It does matter. There is a place to take a taxi near here. I'll go by myself. As a girl, you should go home early. See you."
Charles waved his hand and prevented Josie from following him. Then he left.
Charles cared about Josie's safety. Because Josie was in her bad mood, he pretended left and followed her quietly.
Then Charles saw Josie going to the lighting house.
It was one of the oldest parts of the city. As developing the city, people living here must be removed, and this area must be rearranged.
Because of the demolition problem, the road in this area without electricity was dark. Charles followed Josie carefully in case of being found.
When Josie went into the lighting house, Charles heard a shrill voice with the sound of glasses broken.
"You came back in time. You didn't dare come in until they had left? I think you don't want to come back."
The door was opening. Charles saw a woman sitting on the chair who was simply dressed and looked like Josie.
Was it Josie's mother?
Charles knew that Josie once studied at aboard. When she was studying in domestic, she should be in a posh school, so she was Harry's classmate.
If she could afford the expensive tuition fees, her family should be rich.
But in this house, there were full of old furniture. A lighting candle on the old table was the only light source in the house.
"I just arrived. Why not you call the police?" Josie's voice was shivering.
Charles, in the dark, sighed. But for that, the mother and the daughter resembled each other. He would not be sure the woman was Josie's mother. Charles's parents, even though they were adoptive parents, didn't let him suffer from injustice.
Charles despised Josie's parents in her mind.
Now, he was clear about the whole thing.
This area was in charge of Sun's family, which was one of the biggest real estate developers in the city.
By using his father's right, Harry forced Josie to marry him.
He must be a rat.
Josie saw her mother crying fiercely. She said softly: "You mean, if I marry Harry, you and my father can have a good life, and I still your daughter. Right?"
Hearing Josie's words, the woman stopped crying.
At the moment, Charles stepped on something. A noise was rising in a quiet environment.
