"Rosalie Jacobs. May I ask if you'll marry me again?
"In the past so many years, I've let you down and owed you! You’ve never experienced the romance of love and the happiness of a blissful marriage. Life has forced you to grow and made you mature way beyond your age. You've suffered enough for the kids, and you've waited so many years for me. I was ignorant, and everything is my fault.
"There'll probably and always be obstacles in your heart. You must be confused and may even wonder if I'm choosing to be with you because of the three children. Let me tell you, not at all! Everything about you is endlessly attractive to me. In my heart, I wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with anybody else. I love you, Rosalie Jacobs! So, please, marry me again!"
Byron's affectionate confession, his serious expression, his sincere eyes…
Rosalie's heart softened as her body could not help but tremble.
Tears could not stop flowing in an instant.
She thought, ‘Am I going to get back together with Byron without any announcement?’
However, she kept feeling that something was missing.
However, she reminded herself, 'I shouldn't mind it. I'll just try to enjoy the love that Byron has for me, and that'll be enough.’
Even so, after laying on the man’s arm for countless nights, she could not restrain herself. She wished for a solemn ceremony every time she looked at his sleeping face.
She did not want to be confused anymore.
Now, she could see everything clearly right in front of her eyes.
Everything seemed a little plain, and there was no audience.
Even so, she was satisfied. She smiled, nodded heavily, and slowly stretched out her hand. Her ring finger was slightly raised.
The man also smiled. That smile seemed to make Rosalie see the joy of getting a toy he liked when he was a child; of solving a math problem when he was still a youth; and of being in charge of a huge business empire when he was an adult. His smile was invincible and carefree.
Byron finally put the diamond ring on the woman's ring finger solemnly.
