Chapter 1973 Planned Trap
The lab results were not out even after waiting a long time.
This was a new virus that had never been recorded before.
To be precise, it was a pathogen and not a virus.
That result shocked Mary and Rosalie.
Fortunately, Rosalie was professional and calmed down immediately.
There were many things to be done immediately. She had no time to waste.
First, they had to lock down the entire building where the emergency department was located and immediately interrogate everyone who had gone in and out of the building today. They should try to contact them and keep them in the hospital.
Second, they should immediately report to the Health and Epidemic Prevention Department and express the severity of the matter.
Third, all emergency room staff that had been in contact with the patient should be placed in separate rooms to wait and see if they were infected with the virus.
"Ask the laboratory to continue to work hard to find a way to test this pathogen. Once identified, all infected doctors and nurses are to be given anti-viral medication. If they're seriously ill, come to me immediately, and I'll perform dry
needling right away."
Rosalie was serious, unlike her usual self.
Mary nodded and immediately ordered the management team of the hospital. She arranged everything Rosalie had told her to do.
It was a race against time.
In the country, this sort of thing happened all the time in many hospitals.
As the director of the hospital, Mary was familiar with the protocols.
Minutes passed, and Mary returned to the director's office to update Rosalie on the situation.
As expected, the emergency patient's blood contained a lot of bacteria, which could lead to multiple organ failure.
However, because of Rosalie's dry-needling treatment, the bacteria were suppressed. Moreover, they had changed his blood, so his physical signs were stable.
"So, the effects of the current anti-bacterial drugs aren't ideal. Almost all the doctors and nurses in the emergency room have been infected with the bacteria, but the symptoms are not serious. To completely suppress the reproduction of this pathogen, we must make targeted drugs!"
Mary reported everything to Rosalie.
Rosalie's forehead creased, and she asked, "Mary, where did this patient come back from?" There's no record of this pathogen in this nation, so we'll try to post it on international forums and see if we can identify it. Perhaps this is not new and unheard of. It's just that this is our first time seeing it in our country."
Before Mary could understand what Rosalie meant, Byron knew what Rosalie wanted to do.
His face was a little cold, and he added, "Rosie means that the origin of the patient must be found out! Perhaps this isn't an accident but a planned trap!"
