Chapter 1994 Are You Willing
They spent plenty of time and effort before finally digging out all four wish bottles in 15 minutes.
All four wish bottles were closed with corks to prevent rainwater from eroding the papers inside.
Someone even suggested putting a drying agent in each bottle. It had preserved the papers well. Not even mold had grown on them.
Holding the four bottles, Andrius smiled. "Let's go and wash them before taking a look at the papers. More than ten years have passed since then."
Mary nodded and smiled. She felt as if she had been taken back in time.
They looked for a tap nearby and washed off the mud on the bottles. Then, they walked back to their spot only after wiping the bottles dry.
"Which one of these is yours?" Mary looked at the transparent bottles. The four of them used different colored papers.
There were four colors—purple, blue, pink, and white.
She guessed the white must be Andrius’. According to his past personality, he would choose a simple and pure color.
"Is that pink paper Chloe's?" She also thought of this possibility.
Andrius smiled and nodded. 'Yes. It's Chloe's. But I just realized we shouldn’t open their secrets without permission. So, let's keep their bottles for them and pass them on later."
Mary felt he was right. It was inappropriate to read others' wish notes without getting their consent.
'We can open mine. It's the one with the blue paper!" Andrius put away the other bottles and took the one with the blue paper.
He seemed to be recalling the past as he muttered, "Back then, Byron and Luther had come with us too. But they both refused to write their wishes. Luther’s is the white one. I think he didn't write anything. I'm not too sure. We can open it someday when he’s around."
Blue represented gloom, rationale, and hope.
Mary thought this color suited Andrius' character back then.
Noticing her anticipation, he opened the bottle and smiled sheepishly. 'To be honest, I’ve forgotten my wish back then. It's been so long, and my memory has become blurry."
'That's why we should take a look. I'm curious!" Mary stopped hiding her curiosity and stretched out her hand when she saw Andrius taking out the blue paper.
