My Ex-Wife and Kids Came In Like A Wrecking Ball novel Chapter 21

Chapter 21

Rosalie, The Little Wild Cat Estie obediently stretched out her injured hand for him to look. Bryon frowned slightly when he saw the injury on her hand. “How did this happen? Did the kids bully you?” Estie was stunned for a moment but then she forcefully shook her head. She was not bullied?

Byron did not understand. “Then what happened?”

Estie picked up the drawing pen again and wrote stroke by stroke into the small notebook. She wrote a few letters.

After she wrote that, she tilted her head, feeling somewhat lacking in confidence. The word was too hard to spell. Whenever she comes across a word that she did not know how to spell, she would usually make an educated guess from how it sounded or skip it entirely.

She did not come across this word often and did not know if she had spelled it correctly.

“You slipped?”

Byron looked at the letters and confirmed with her.

Estie nodded.

Byron let out a sigh of relief as he touched the area of the injury. “Did the teacher give you any treatment for it?”

Estie nodded.

Byron nodded. Looking at her white and tender little hand again, he said, “The wound won‘t heal in a few days, you still need to put some ointment on it. Daddy will help you, is that alright?”

Estie did not refuse. Byron immediately crouched down and picked up the little girl before heading downstairs. When he got to the hall, he put the little girl on his lap and sat on the sofa. He instructed Mrs. Zora, “Bring me the first aid kit.” Heeding his order, Mrs. Zora quickly returned with the first aid kit. Byron took out a spray from inside and sprayed it onto her wound. Then, he kneaded her hand for a while. It was still a rather serious injury and although quite a while had passed, it still hurt to touch it now.

Estie made no fuss. She just pursed her lips while her delicate little brows knitted together. Byròn would check on her expression from time to time to see if she was hurting.

Noticing her frown, he could not help but daze off.
