Nox also heard the praises for Wendy and snorted angrily. 

Rosalie snapped back into reality and asked the little guy with some confusion, “What’s wrong?” Nox poked the food on his plate and answered sullenly, “I don’t like that aunt.” Rosalie could not help but be stunned for a moment when she heard this. “Why?” The little guy had only met Wendy twice. Where did such a big prejudice come from? 

Nox looked up to see his Mommy and wanted to say it was because that woman wanted to marry Daddy and it was because of her that his dad left them behind. 

However, he remembered that Mommy did not know that he and Lucian knew about this. He puffed his mouth, swallowed the words he was about to say, and answered, “Because she’s mean to Estie and Estie doesn’t like her.” 

The mention of the kid made Rosalie’s heart ache a little, but she could not say anything. All she could do was placate them with a smile. “How could that be? She’s going to be Estie’s mother in the future. How could she be mean to Estie? Don’t overthink, you guys. Eat up.” 

Nox lowered his head reluctantly and complained about Daddy in his heart. In what way was that aunt any better than Mommy that Daddy would even want to marry her? After lunch, Miss Leigh Ann organized for everyone to have a stroll nearby. Rosalie brought the kids out of the restaurant. Seeing how they were still moody, she thought of taking them somewhere to relax and suggested, “Can you bring me to see the place where you guys hid last night? I don’t even know how you both found the place.” 

At the mention of yesterday’s hide-and-seek incident, the little guys only then barely pumped up their spirits and were ready to take Rosalie there. 

Two steps into the walk and they heard Estie’s baby voice.
