Chapter 272 Beating Herself Up

Byron exited the hotel. Without a doubt in his mind, he ran in the direction of the botanical garden. 

That little girl wanted to be with Rosalie, and there was no doubt that she ran out of the hotel just for her. Other than the botanical garden, it was impossible for his little girl to be anywhere else. 

As he made his way to the botanical garden, he did not see Estie at all. Byron’s heart sank. He whipped out his phone to call Rosalie. 

Rosalie was sightseeing in the botanical garden with her little boys when her phone rang. When she saw whose call it was, she frowned. 

Byron should be with Wendy now, right? Why was he calling her now? 

Her phone rang for a while before Rosalie picked up hesitantly. “Have you seen Estie?” 

Before she could say anything, the man’s velvety voice rang from the other end of the call. 

He sounded a little frantic. Rosalie’s heart sank unknowingly. “No. Why?” 

Byron looked around him, his eyes not daring to take a break from scanning the place. “Estie’s missing.” 

Rosalie’s heart trembled at the news, and her face morphed into an expression of panic. “Isn’t Estie with you? How could she go missing out of the blue?” 

Thinking about how the little girl went missing, Byron frowned. “Long story. Just start looking for her now! She should be near the botanical garden.” Rosalie could not care about her conflicts with Byron anymore as she said, “Okay, I’ll look around with the boys.” 

After hanging up the phone, she was about to bring the boys to look for Estie. “Mommy, what happened?” The boys looked at how frantic Rosalie’s expression was and asked in confusion, 

Rosalie could not regain her composure, so she took a deep breath in an attempt to make her voice tremble less. “Estie’s missing. Let’s look around here for her.” 

“How is it? Any news?” Rosalie asked anxiously. 

Byron was clearly only focusing on finding Estie. It was only when he heard her voice that he realized Rosalie was standing opposite him. He shook his head in silence. 

Rosalie’s facial expression was gloomy and frightening. After seeing Byron shake his head, she felt a heavy weight on her heart that rendered her unable to speak. 

The little girl was still happily talking about planting trees with them in the morning, but now, she had gone missing… Rosalie beat herself up mentally. 

Just now, when she came out of the restaurant, it was clear that the little girl wanted to be with her. However, she rejected her because she saw Byron with Wendy.
