Chapter 328 The Truth Behind The Children’s Identities
Rosalie accompanied Nox to the doctor’s office as the doctor performed a medical examination on him. she then had an in-depth discussion about Nox’s condition with the doctor.
The doctor was rather stunned after hearing what she said. After a while, he chuckled and asked, “Which hospital are you working in, Miss? will you consider working in our hospital?”
Rosalie smiled faintly and said, “No, I just have some medical knowledge.”
After speaking, she reminded the children, “Hurry up and thank the doctor.”
The children got down from their seats and looked at the doctor intently. “Thank you, doctor.”
The doctor smiled as he looked at the children in adoration. “You don’t have to thank me. Remember to take your medicine on time. Luckily, your mommy has a lot of medical knowledge, otherwise, you might’ve had to be hospitalized! You’d better thank your mommy instead!”
The children laughed innocently. They then turned around and thanked Rosalie.
Rosalie caressed their heads and took the prescription that the doctor had given to her. She then left the office with the children.
Since she had discovered Nox’s condition relatively early, his illness had not progressed to a serious stage. He just needed to take his medicine on time.
Rosalie’s worries gradually dissipated as she felt much more relaxed.
She reminded the children repeatedly while walking, “ Did you hear what the doctor said? You must let me know immediately if you’re not feeling well the next time. Don’t bear everything on your own.”
The children nodded obediently.
Rosalie lowered her gaze and was about to ask Nox how he felt right now when she noticed that someone seemed to be standing before them. Despite their close proximity to that person, it seemed like the person had no intention to move away.
Defensive expressions instantly appeared on the children’s faces.
Rosalie’s heart sunk when she noticed this. She had a hunch in her heart.
She raised her gaze to look ahead of her. As expected, she was met with the sight of the face that she had seen just now.
Byron stood in front of them expressionlessly. There was a dark gaze in his eyes. His expression seemed rather stern.
“Is anything the matter, President Lawrence?” Rosalie was rather stunned. She then questioned him in a cold voice.
Byron frowned upon noticing the tone of her voice. He did not comment on it since Nox was not feeling well. He simply asked, “How’s Nox?”
Rosalie frowned slightly and glanced around them. However, she did not catch sight of Wendy anywhere.
Had Byron left Wendy behind to see how the child was doing?
Rosalie could not help but feel slightly terrified when she came to such a realization.
After all, Byron had to choose between the fiancee he had been in love with for the past six years and the son of his ex-wife, whom he had just known some time ago. Both of them were ill. He should be able to judge the severity of their conditions.
However, Byron had made an unexpected choice. He left Wendy behind to look for Nox.
After witnessing how kindly Byron treated Wendy just now, Rosalie felt that he did not come over for her sake. That could only mean that he came to look for Nox.
Had Byron found out about the children’s true identities?
