Chapter 331 Something Was Out of Place
Hearing this, Wendy glanced down at her arm in a cast, then raised her eyes and smiled at Rosalie nonchalantly. “This isn’t a big deal, but it happened two days ago while I was out with Aunt Melody. I was accidentally scratched by a car. Thankfully, Aunt is fine, and my injury is nothing.”
The implication was to let Rosalie know she got that injury trying to save Mrs. Lawrence.
Rosalie naturally understood her words, smiled, and replied indifferently, “Wow, you and Mrs. Lawrence have such a good relationship. I’m sure it’ll be smooth sailing for you when you marry into the Lawrence family. If there isn’t anything else, I need to go now. It’s getting late, and the children are sleepy.”
After speaking, she turned around to leave without waiting for Wendy to say anything.
Just as she turned around, someone grabbed her wrist.
Rosalie frowned and turned to look at the woman behind her.
Wendy looked at her pitifully, “Actually, there’s one more thing I want to tell you. I wish to apologize to you.”
Hearing this, Rosalie’s heart became filled with suspicion. She was skeptical about whatever Wendy had to say next.
“No need.” she responded to Wendy, “You don’t need to apologize or do anything else for me.”
Wendy had indeed done many things against her and her two children in the past.
However, an apology could never make up for it at all. Besides, she did not need this apology anymore.
