Rosalie pursed her lips angrily and struggled for a bit. She could not break free from his shackles, however.

Sensing her struggle, Byron’s face darkened slightly. ” Are you going to take a taxi from the road dressed like this? What kind of weather do you think it is now?”

“I don’t need President Lawrence worrying. I can take care of myself,” Rosalie responded coldly.

Byron was then aware that the concern in his words just now had been too obvious. He frowned and said, ” It won’t be easy to hail a taxi on this road. I’m afraid the dinner party would have long started by the time you get there.”

Rosalie turned and glanced at the road.

Arachne was indeed in a very remote location. There were very few cars on the road and no sign of a taxi.

She likely would have to trek quite a distance before she could get one.

Even so, she did not want Byron to give her a ride.

Rosalie glanced at the time. There was some time left before the dinner part started but President Snyder said that Senior Lewis was already there…

Of course, she could not leave Senior Lewis waiting long.
