Chapter 449 Don’t Forget To Pick Up

As soon as Rosalie walked into the entrance of the research institute, she saw Yves standing at the entrance.

The man was lost in his thoughts as he leaned against the wall staring blankly. He did not even see her coming in.

Rosalie went over and called out to him curiously, ” Dr. Graham, what’s on your mind?”

Yves jolted slightly. It was obvious that he was startled. His eyebrows twitched, then he came back to his senses and straightened up to face her. “You guys finished chatting so soon?”

Rosalie smiled and nodded. “Leon also plans to participate in the Lancer family’s free clinic in two days. We had a brief chat and agreed to go together.”

Yves’ eyes flashed with loneliness when he heard that.

When he saw Rosalie and Leon standing side by side that noon, Yves lost his appetite during lunch, so he simply took two bites before driving back and waiting for Rosalie at the door.

As he waited for her, he unconsciously thought of the gap between himself and Rosalie.

Now that he knew that Rosalie was going to participate in the free clinic with Leon, he felt even farther away from Rosalie.

Yves suppressed the unbearable feeling in his heart and smiled at Rosalie as if nothing had happened. ” It’s good for you to go together. You’ll have a companion.”

Rosalie did not think much about it. she only thought that he felt at a loss because he could not participate in the free clinic. Rosalie patted his arm to console him. “Don’t overthink it. You’re also excellent, but the number of spots requested by the Lancer family is limited. Otherwise, we would’ve been able to go together.”

Yves forced a smile. “It’s alright. It doesn’t matter whether you or I go. We’d both be representing the research institute.”

After saying that, he did not wait for Rosalie to respond. He hurriedly said something to her before going back to the office by himself.

Rosalie was puzzled when she watched Yves hurriedly turn his back, but she did not think much about it and returned to the office with her bag.
