Chapter 517 Do We Wait For Uncle Byron To Eat Together?
On the other end, Byron did not hear Rosalie’s answer. His eyebrows twitched slightly, and his tone sank. “If it’s inconvenient, I’ll send Luther over.”
Rosalie came back to her senses and said calmly, “It’s alright. Estie is already in my car. I was just about to call you.”
Hearing this, Byron’s expression softened. “Then I’ll need to trouble you for that. I have something else to do, so I’ll get going first.”
After speaking, he hung up the phone without waiting for Rosalie to respond.
A busy tone came from the phone.
Rosalie was stunned for a few seconds and put the phone aside, but the man’s voice still echoed in her ears.
Maybe she was overthinking it. However, perhaps due to the play rehearsals, Byron’s attitude toward her had become much more easy-going.
Sometimes, that even gave her the illusion that they were actually a family, including that moment just now.
However, the thought of Melody made Rosalie quickly pull herself away from those thoughts.
“Mommy?” The little children in the backseat urged her inexplicably when they saw her pausing while starting the car.
Rosalie responded in a trance, slowly put away her thoughts, started the car, and drove home.
When they got home, Lisa had already prepared dinner.
Seeing that only the four of them came in, Lisa was stunned for a moment. “Where’s President Lawrence?
They had eaten dinner together for the past two days. This time, only Estie came whereas Byron was nowhere to be seen. Lisa was not used to it.
She looked around behind them, but there was no Byron.
Lisa looked at Rosalie puzzled. It was as if the man was part of their family.
Seeing Lisa’s surprised look, Rosalie frowned slightly and realized that her feeling was not an illusion. Her heart was inexplicably heavy. “He… has something to do.”
