Chapter 940 Painkillers
When Lucian said there was something wrong with his water, Rosalie did smell a faint odor in the water.
That odor was produced by a type of bacteria when it comes into contact with water. But the problem was, that kind of bacteria could only survive in a laboratory. If it weren’t man-made, it would not be possible for it to appear in such a mountain setting.
Therefore, Rosalie’s first reaction was to check if there were anyone other than them around. But, the grass field they were at was unobstructed, and there was no one else around but them. Rosalie did not think it was caused by bacteria, but thought it was just a coincidence.
Unexpectedly, somebody had placed that kind of bacteria in the little ones’ cups.
Rosalie’s heart twitched as she thought of the symptoms that the bacteria will produce when it comes in contact with the human body.
“Mummy, it hurts…” Nox finally could not take the pain anymore, and held her hand pitifully.
Too bad that the little one was in such severe pain, he grabbed her hand loosely and quickly released it, he had no strength at all.
As she saw the little boy’s hand that was about to fall to the ground, Rosalie grabbed onto his hand and held it in distress.
‘It’s okay, it’s okay, Mommy will help you get better soon.” Rosalie murmured nervously while touching the little guy’s hand soothingly.
She had seen patients exposed to the bacteria in clinical trials. An adult of nearly 1.8 meters tall tossed and turned on the hospital bed and almost lost consciousness in pain because of this bacteria. Not to mention the two little ones in front of him. 1
Rosalie was so distressed that she could hardly breathe just thinking about the pain they were suffering at the moment.
Lucian saw that his mother was a little panicked, and stretched out a small hand and grabbed Rosalie’s other hand.
“Mommy, do you want to give my brother and little sister any medicine?” Although he was young, he often showed amazing calmness.
The elder boy’s stomach was a little uncomfortable, it was still within the range he could endure.
