Chapter 716 Bryson's pupils constricted abruptly as if he was astounded thatKayson could tell he was injured. On the other hand, Hank and the other chiefs turned pale with shock.
“The president is a warlord, yet he has actually been injured?’ Brysoninhaled a deep breath. “Yarde... Mr. Yarde is actually capable of noticing that. May I inquire if you're doing it through your mind expansion or a doctor's point of view?" "Doctor." Upon hearing that, Bryson's eyes lit up. Then, he bowed in a respectful manner under the shocked, watchful eyes of the three chiefs. “If you can tell that I'm injured, I believe that you'll certainly be able to treat me. Please provide treatment for me, Mr. Yarde!” Kayson shook his head. “Why would I treat your injury? What if you were to avenge Terry by killing me after curing you?" Bryson's expression changed drastically, and he said in a gloomy tone, "What you've said... I have no idea how I can dispel your concern either. “I can only give you a weak, verbal assurance... “However, I'm begging you to treat my injury, and I'll pay for it. You can name the price and consider it a business deal.” Hank hastily said, “Mr. Yarde, the president will never break his promise after making one, and you can trust him on that. I will also vouch for the president!” Bryson was astonished to hear Hank's remark. Perhaps he had not expected that Hank would stand up for him. “Mr. Yarde, the president is not a bad person. I can vouch for him with my life that he will never return kindness with ingratitude!” Hank spoke with a solemn expression and a hopeful gaze. Upon noticing the situation , Kayson pondered for a brief moment before he said, “I shall provide treatment to Mr. Yost out of respect for you, Mr. Veal.” Bryson's body shook once. He bowed down in haste and expressed his gratitude by saying, “Thank you, sir!" Bryson lived in the back loft that Kayson noticed earlier. Kayson had paid great attention to the loft because he noticed Bryson's presence there. The loft had all sorts of collections, such as precious manuals, weapons, and medicinal herbs. Hank followed them to the loft as well. He had managed to rise to the highest level in one step from being the Stygian Hall's chief to the president's hot shot. After arriving at the loft and taking a seat, Bryson asked in a polite tone, "How would you like me to work with you during the treatment, Mr. Yarde?” Kayson said, “Sit cross-legged and remove your top.” Bryson did as he was told while Kayson inserted a few silver needles onto his chest and back. Then, he headed downstairs to get some medicinal herbs from the medicinal herbs storage level and summoned Hank to make a concoction. Kayson did not do anything else after inserting the needles. He asked, “You got injured fighting a smasher, right?" “You're very wise, Mr. Yarde. That is how I got injured, indeed. The person is much more powerful than me, and perhaps I would've died had I not run fast enough." Bryson heaved a sigh continuously. “A warlord is powerful but still much weaker as compared to a smasher.” Kayson did not comment further. A smasher could be described as an individual who had crossed the threshold of divinity and could not be compared to a warlord. He channeled evergreene energy into the concoction as he crushed the medicinal herbs. Bryson was a skilled fighter, so his senses were not sensitive enough for him to detect anything unusual with Kayson's action. However, if Kayson were to channel the evergreene energy into Bryson's body, Bryson would surely notice it no matter how dull he was. The evergreene energy could be described as Kayson's trump card, so he would never expose it to others easily. It did not take long before Kayson rolled the crushed medicinal herbs into a pill that he gave to Bryson so he could consume it with the cooked concoction. Then, he began to change the location of his needles on purpose. About an hour passed before Bryson's eyes lit up with radiance! Bryson's body then exuded a gush of terrifying, powerful aura, blowing away all the dust under his seat.
