Chapter 822
Gibson lost his composure right away, hurrying to ask,“ Mr. Jackson, d–did I say something wrong?
“Pray tell! I‘ll correct myself! I‘ll definitely correct myself, Mr. Jackson!”
He had just taken this position for a handful of days–not even warmed to the position yet–and he had to return the position? He would be the butt of the joke!
“Scram!” snarled Seth. “Piss off right now, or things are going to get ugly for you!”
Gibson was baffled, falling to his butt with a stagger. The few people who came with him–one of them had the intention to buy him a meal but left with a scowl after seeing what the situation had turned into. The others dared not linger either and left hastily.

Seth approached Nigel with a warm smile, like he was meeting an old friend.
“Mr. Jensen, I‘ve been blind to promote a dodgy man like Gibson and let you down. Please don‘t hold it to your heart.
“I‘ll give you back your original position first thing tomorrow, and I promise all will be taken care of properly.”
Nigel was a little lost. There was no doubt that he could recognize the man before him–Seth Jackson, the Rivspring Chamber of Commerce‘s president.
Someone like this was incredibly influential, and Gibson was actually one of his men! Despite that, Nigel did not dare voice out any disagreement as he hurried to answer politely, “Mr. Jackson, of course. I understand that it‘s all a misunderstanding...”

Seth replied seriously, “It‘s the best that you can understand! It‘s such a pleasure to befriend you!” Nigel was kind of dumbstruck. Everything had taken a turn so fast that it felt like a whiplash.
Seth then shifted his gaze to Sadie and asked, “Ms. Wolfenden? Gorgeous and talented, aren’t you? What an honor to meet you today. You‘re even more brilliant than what I‘ve heard of.”
Sadie was startled. The man seemed to be someone powerful, but he was so courteous to her. The shower of praises simply flustered her.
