Chapter 382 You Don't Like Me, Do You?
Feeling her breath on his ear as she whispered, Abbot clenched his teeth and squeezed Rebecca's arm unconsciously.
Rebecca hissed in pain and leaned backward.
Abbot gazed down at her with an intense feeling in his eyes.
After quite a while, he said through his clenched teeth, "Rebecca."
"Did you get pissed?" Rebecca asked smilingly, raising an eyebrow.
For a moment, Abbot had the doubt that Rebecca was playing drunk. He took a deep breath and looked at Rebecca face to face.
Rebecca looked at him indifferently. When Abbot was on the verge of anger, Rebecca tilted her head, whistling to Abbot frivolously.
Seeing that, both Abbot and his assistant remained silent.
At last, Abbot threw Rebecca into the car.
"Mr. Carter, you..." The assistant watched this, dumbfounded.
"Get in the car," Abbot ordered.
The assistant sat into the driving seat quickly.
The car was driving slowly on the road. Abbot breathed deeply, leaning against the window, feeling drumming in his temples.
Rebecca sat next to him, mumbling. "Mr. Carter, spring is coming. What flowers do you like?"
Following his principle of not blaming drunkards, Abbot said, poker-faced, "Lily."
Rebecca smiled. "Guess what flowers I like."
"Forget it. I don't want to know."
Ignoring what he said, Rebecca continued, "I like gold and silver flowers."
Abbot was speechless.
Seeming to be satisfied with what she said, Rebecca fell back into her seat, content.
As Rebecca stopped talking, there was silence in the car. She lolled back in her seat, her eyelids falling heavy, and finally fell asleep.
Hearing her steady breathing, Abbot felt relieved.
The assistant saw Abbot's facial expression in the rear-view mirror and asked carefully, "Mr. Carter, are we sending Ms. Black home first?"
"Hmm," Abbot said without emotion.
On the rest of the way, there was all silence in the car.
About 40 minutes later, the car stopped at the gate of the community Rebecca lived.
Abbot nudged her. "Here we are."
But Rebecca was still sleeping.
