Chapter 390 The Unexpected Murderer
Colin Farrell hadn't seen Old Mr. Farrell for more than half a month.
When York Blake finished speaking, Colin looked up and mocked, "How is grandfather doing recently?"
York, "He's doing okay."
Hearing this, Colin showed imperceptible sarcasm in his eyes. He turned his head, exchanged looks with Faye Nash, and then looked at Tiffany Shaw, "Mom, I go see grandfather first."
Tiffany smiled gently, "Go ahead and take your time to talk with your grandpa."
Colin nodded, stood up and went upstairs.
Colin was followed closely by York.
After walking away for a while, York said in a low voice, "Old Mr. Farrell is at death's door. He would pass away in just a couple of days."
Colin raised his eyebrows lightly and asked like he knew nothing, "Didn't the doctor say that he could at lease live until next spring?"
York pretended that he didn't understand, "Old Mr. Farrell has been in a bad mood since Maxwell Camden was back."
Colin sneered, "Oh!"
A few minutes later, Colin went into Old Mr. Farrell's bedroom.
Just as York said, Old Mr. Farrell was at death's door.
Old Mr. Farrell sat on the bed with his back leaning against the headboard, and he was so thin that others couldn't recognize him. The clothes he usually wore looked loose and baggy, as if they were not his.
"You're home."
Old Mr. Farrell said in an aged and hoarse voice.
Colin looked around, walked to the window and opened it narrowly. After that, he took a chair and sat down in front of Old Mr. Farrell, "You asked to see me?"
Old Mr. Farrell gasped for a while, "Have you seen Maxwell?"
Colin, "Yes."
Old Mr. Farrell, "Do you think he's Brandon Farrell's son?"
Colin leaned back in the chair and smiled casually, "This is really a difficult question to me."
Seeing Colin's expression of no care, Old Mr. Farrell closed his eyes, "I know what you're thinking of. You're thinking that Maxwell is here for the Farrell family and it has nothing to do with you, aren't you?"
Colin teased, "Isn't it right?"
Old Mr. Farrell took a deep breath, "Yes, it is."
Colin looked down and touched the bell on his wrist with his fingertips. Hearing the silvery sound of the bell, he put on a vague smiled.
Knowing that he was running out of time, Old Mr. Farrell stared at Colin for a few seconds with his dim-sighted eyes, and said in a deep voice, "How about I trade something with you?"
Colin looked up and sneered, "Grandfather, you're still scheming even at this moment."
Old Mr. Farrell detected the sarcasm in Colin's words, but he said calmly, "I can't let the ancestral legacy be ruined because of me."
Colin naturally opened his legs slightly, took out a cigarette from his pocket and put it in his mouth. Without lighting it, he said, "Didn't you ask for the opinions of our ancestors before you schemed against your blood brother back then?"
Old Mr. Farrell, "..."
Ever since Colin fell out with Old Mr. Farrell, he didn't pretend to be obedient anymore. What he said kept provoking Old Mr. Farrell.
Old Mr. Farrell couldn't say anything against him. He clenched the sheet with his hand on the quilt, "Didn't you always want to know about Shepard Nash's death? I'll tell you all."
Colin's eyes suddenly looked atrocious, and he looked into Old Mr. Farrell's eyes.
Old Mr. Farrell tried his best to adjust his breathing, "Compared to the ancestral legacy of the Farrell family, that scandal is nothing."
