Chapter 401 The One With Pride
Colin twitched his eyebrows when the people outside the door stopped talking.
Faye suggested, "Let's go over and have a look."
Colin thought for a while and said, "Um."
After Colin finished speaking, he turned around to open the door.
When the man who was standing in the corridor saw Colin, he sneered, "Abbot and the other man went all out."
Colin looked at the man who was talking to him while he was walking in the direction of the next room. He raised his eyebrows and asked indifferently, "What makes you here today?"
The man was about his age with an outstanding appearance. He was wearing a dark green shirt and a pair of black suit pants.
Most people wouldn't be able to wear the shirt in that color, but it looked exceptionally nice on him.
The man's eyes were long and narrow with a sense of smirk, which could tell that he was a high-end player.
Hearing Colin's question, the man teased, "What? What's wrong with me being at my own place?"
Colin showed a faint smile and said, "I thought you are addicted to drama recently and planning to change your career path."
They arrived at the room next door while they were talking. Colin turned to glance at the man who was beside him and said, "Matthew, look after Faye."
The man leaned against the wall as if he got nothing to do with it and teased, "Don't worry. I'll look after Faye."
When Colin noticed his frivolity, he wanted to kick him.
That man reacted quickly. He managed to dodge and laughed out loud.
In the room, Abbot and Maxwell were sitting against the wall. Both of them were seriously injured.
Even so, the two still didn't stop. They were scolding each other from time to time.
Abbot gritted his teeth and said, "When I recover, I'll kill you."
Maxwell raised his hand to wipe off the blood on the corner of his mouth and chuckled disdainfully.
Colin pushed the door open. When he saw Abbot's severely injured arm and Maxwell's severely injured leg, he raised his eyebrows lightly and asked, "Shall I call an ambulance for you guys?"
Abbot didn't say a word.
Maxwell didn't respond to him either.
Abbot had never been so embarrassed in his life. He was helped to get into the ambulance by two medical staff.
One of the medical staff proposed to use a stretcher for him, but Abbot said with his jaw clenched, "I can walk by myself. That's my last strength."
The medical staff who was holding on to him couldn't help laughing and said, "You are such a proud man."
Abbot responded, "What to do? I have my pride."
Compared to Abbot, Maxwell was much chiller.
When Maxwell was carried out of the room by stretcher, he closed his eyes and looked calm. No one could tell what feeling he had.
Seeing that, Abbot smiled sarcastically. His smile was too big which involved the wound on his face and caused him a lot of pain.
A few minutes later, Abbot and Maxwell got into the ambulance while Colin and Faye drove behind them.
In the ambulance, Abbot was sitting while Maxwell was lying. There were several medical staff sitting beside them.
Maxwell didn't say a word ever since he was being carried out of the room and kept his eyes closed all the time.
