Chapter 405 The Confession

It was rare that there was still someone from the Carters who wasn't narcissistic.

Compared with Abbot and Bryson, Jadon was one of a kind from the Carters.

Since Jadon asked straightforwardly, Colin didn't hide anything and said, "I think it's pretty good."

Jadon smiled shyly and there were some subtle wrinkles at the corners of his eyes, "Um."

Jadon pondered for a while, took out his mobile phone in front of Colin, and called Benjamin.

When the call was connected, Jadon said, "Benjamin."

Benjamin replied impatiently, "Say it quickly."

Jadon said, "I'm going to have a girlfriend."

Benjamin said in an awkward tone, "I don't have any comments. I just want to ask whether my sister-in-law is retired?"

Jadon was speechless.

Colin, who standing beside Jadon also didn't say a word.

After a few seconds of silence, Colin chuckled and said, "Benjamin has a really wide age range."

Jadon raised his hand and pressed his temple, "She is younger than me."

After Benjamin heard his words, he raised his voice and said, "Since she is younger than you, why do you say that she is old? She would be a young girl then!"

Jadon didn't want to continue talking to Benjamin, and said solemnly, "Benjamin, I have something to do in the hospital. I got to go."

Benjamin knew that Jadon wanted to hang up the phone, and asked hurriedly, "When will you bring her to meet with me and your sister-in-law?"

Jadon replied, "Maybe in two days."

After hanging up with Benjamin, Jadon looked at Colin and said "Did you get the confirmation that you needed?"

Colin said, "Carlotta will be well-treated and Faye will also be at ease."

Abbot opened his eyes and stared at the dark ward for a long time before he recalled that he was in the hospital.

Abbot moved his body, turned his head to look at Colin who was next to the bed, and said in a hoarse voice, "Colin, water."

Colin didn't dare to fall asleep that night because he was told by the nurse that Abbot should wake up 30 minutes after the operation. However, Abbot never woke up.

Colin was worried that might be something not right with Abbot which caused his heart was hanging all the time.

So, when he heard that Abbot was calling him, he woke up in a second.

"You would like some water?"

Colin got up, sat on the edge of the bed, and stretched his neck.

Abbot looked at Colin's tired face and laughed, "You should have just let the nurse takes care of me. What are you doing here? Are you trying to impress me?"

Colin turned on the light and glanced at Abbot. Then, he stood up, got some water, and teased, "I was afraid that I didn't get to see you for the last time."

Abbot looked at Colin's back and cursed him.

Colin came back with the glass of water and handed it to Abbot.

Abbot sat up after some struggles, leaned against the bed, and took a few sips. He looked at Colin and asked, "Did Rebecca leave?"

Colin looked at him and said without changing his expression, "Well, after you came out of the operating room, she cried so hard and refused to leave. In the end, she was forced to leave by Faye."

Hearing that, Abbot's hand with the water cup shook and he asked, "Real...really?"
