Chapter 446 Clues out There

As soon as Rex stepped out of the hotel, two policemen rushed over and pressed him onto the ground, making his face look contorted.

The policemen warned him in a stern voice, "Don't move."

Rex smiled with his eyes narrowed. There was no hint of pain on his face; instead, he somehow seemed to be enjoying it. "The sun is shining brightly today," said he.

The two policemen didn't hear his words clearly. They exchanged a glance and exerted more force to suppress him. One of them asked, "What did you say?"

Rex moved his lips and said, "It's over. Everything is over."

The policeman kitted his brows and sighed, "Come on, he's not insane, right?"

Another policeman said, "Take him back first."

After that, they handcuffed Rex, pulled him up from the ground, and warned sternly when walking down the stairs, "Be obedient."

In the hotel...

After Rex's leaving, Faye walked to the waiter and untied him.

The waiter was very touched by Rex's story and this emotion even surpassed his fright. Tearful, he sniffed and asked, "Is that man Fanny's agent?"

Faye didn't answer his question right away. Several seconds later, she spoke, "They were lovers."

The waiter was shocked. After a long while, he murmured, "It-It's good."

Faye took out a name card, handed it to the waiter, and said, "Feel free to contact me at any time if you feel uncomfortable."

The waiter didn't take the name card. He waved his hands and said, "Don't bother. I'm all right. He only tied me and did nothing else to me."

Faye said with a smile, "Thank you."

She smiled at the waiter after finishing the words and turned around to look at Colin, saying, "Let's go."

Colin replied in a deep voice with his eyes unfathomable, "Okay."

They then stepped out of the hotel shoulder-by-shoulder. As soon as they walked to the entrance, they found many entertainment reporters waiting outside the cordon and staring at them excitedly.

Watching them going downstairs, some reporters couldn't wait anymore.

"Mr. Farrell, I heard that the murderer was once Fanny's agent. Is that true?"

"Mr. Farrell, is there any private grudge between Rex and Ralph? Or is it that Rex killed Ralph to avenge Fanny?"

"Mr. Farrell, please answer our questions."

Those entertainment reports bombarded Colin with one and another question.

Colin curled up his thin lips into a smile and said, "I'm not an insider of this matter, so I'm sorry that I can't answer your questions."

One of the reporters asked, "Then can you simply tell us about your opinions about this matter?"

Several minutes later, Colin took Faye out of the crowd, walked to the parking lot, and drove away.

When they drove for a distance, Faye leaned back on the seat, tilted her head to look out of the window, and heaved a gentle sigh of relief.

Colin tilted his head to look at her and reached out to massage the back of Faye's neck, asking, "Do you feel depressed?"

Faye pressed her lips and replied honestly, "Yep."

Colin remarked, "No one has expected that there is such a story between Rex and Fanny."

Faye said, "I persuaded Fanny to change her agent several times before, but Fanny never accepted my advice."

Colin said in a deep voice, "Probably Fanny had fallen for Rex at that time."

Faye took a breath and said, "For some people and some matters, they appear to be unrelated. But if we think about it carefully, we'll find out some clues."

Colin replied, "Yep."

Faye remained silent after finishing those words. Several minutes later, she turned to look at Colin and asked, "Do you have a secret with Rex?"

Colin withdrew his hand from Faye's neck and clicked on the steering wheel arrhythmically with his slender fingers. He only curled up his thin lips into a smile and didn't answer Faye's question.

Faye continued, "I've been wanting to ask you this question earlier. For an agent like Rex who has done many mischiefs, if it weren't that someone was backing him, how would he live safely until now."

Colin said, "My grandfather is his backer."
