Rishi's PoV

After all the drama she made, she gave birth to our little bundle of joy. You guys all know what exactly happened on the day of delivery. Now let me give you a little detail here and there on our first year with our baby girl. Well, it may take a chapter or two.

The doctor kicked us out of the hospital the very next day of our baby's arrival. Hehe! We were too loud and crowded. Besides, Anya started walking in the room the next morning. We had problems with the baby latching on to her for breast feeding. The nurse came for help and by the end of the day, the mother and the baby did just fine. Every test on our baby turned out good. So we had nothing to stay back. Besides, Anya was not comfortable with the hospital smell.

After getting home, Athai, Dakshu and Shanu welcomed us with aarathi. We took the baby and let Anya rest for a while. Riya was a good quiet baby so far. Usually she was a night baby when inside tummy.

"Baby is sleeping now. Put her on her bed, maappillai." Athai told me.

I gently placed her on the bed. OMG! How cute and little she is. She is a beautiful baby just like my Anya. I went in to see my wifey. She was wide awake lying on the bed.

"Hey pondati, How are you feeling?" I sat near her on the bed.

" The painkiller works fine. I'm ok. I guess!"

"Love you, Rishu! Where is baby?"

"Sleeping! With your mom." I kissed her forehead. I'm still scared to touch her. I don't know where else it pains her.

"Look at my tummy, Rishu!" she lifted up her shirt. Her ever soft smooth stomach where I laid most of the time is now looking like a big balloon that lost all its air. I now know what she meant. My beautiful baby is feeling insecure about her? about her beauty? oh she doesn't have to be!

"I love everything about you, baby! I love every inch of your body." I kissed her tummy.

"I don't like how I look now." She had tears ready to shed.

"It doesn't matter if you like you or not. I love you. I am so proud of you. I am so lucky to have you. You are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen."

I made her sleep. She should not worry about her appearance. I should make her understand that I don't care how she looks. All I care about is her. She as a whole!

The first few months of the newborn and new parents are very tiring. Anya has to feed the baby every two hours. My athai kicked me out of our room and she moved in with Anya and the baby.

They took turns to wake in the night. Riya was more active in the night. Athai had to wake almost all night and Anya had intermittent sleep.

I still couldn't forget that struggle Anya had to go through for the first poop after giving birth. I would have never wanted a baby if I had known all these struggles. I cried along with her. My time in the office reduced drastically. Ravi and dad had to do all the follow ups. I loved spending time with Riya. After 6weeks, we went in for the checkup for Anya. The doctor said everything looks good and healed.
