Chapter 1049
And just like that, Rowan finally had some peace and quiet–but it left him feeling more unsettled than
ever.
The laughter of the two women in front of him, especially the one who reminded him so much of Minerva, kept drawing his attention. By the end, he couldn’t even recall what the movie was about.
Meartwhile, Jenny sulked through the entire film, stewing in her anger.
When the movie ended and the lights came up, they were locked in a cold silence.
As they exited the theater, Rowan was about to come up with an excuse to part ways with Jenny when his gaze suddenly locked onto the woman walking ahead of them.
His entire focus shifted.
“I’m heading to a friend’s place tonight. Do whatever you want,” Jenny said sharply, trying to provoke him into realizing how upset she was.
She wanted him to feel guilty, apologize, and realize he had to make things right with her. Did he really think that he could treat her like this just because she agreed to be with him?
She remembered how Rowan had practically chased her down, following her to her college, professing his love when she barely gave him the time of day.
Comparing those days to now only made her feel more indignant.
But then, she realized Rowan wasn’t even listening to her. His eyes were fixed on the woman ahead of them. And suddenly, Jenny froze, her gaze narrowing on the same figure.
“Minerva?” she blurted out without thinking, her voice louder than she intended.
Hearing her name, Minerva stopped in her tracks and turned around.
When she saw both Jenny and Rowan, the smile on her face disappeared instantly.
Skylar also turned, following Minerva’s gaze. She frowned slightly, wondering how it was possible to run into them here of all places. What a coincidence.
Rowan stood there, stunned. It really was Minerva.
So, the two women in front of them during the movie were Minerva and Skylar?
His eyes remained fixed on Minerva, unable to look away.
Jenny’s fury spiked when she saw that. Without thinking, she clung to Rowan’s arm and said in a saccharine voice, “Rowan, I’m starving after that movie. How about we grab some late–night snacks?”
Minerva’s such a vixen, Jenny thought bitterly.
Minerva, seeing this display, shifted her gaze away without much of a reaction.
“Let’s go,” she said to Skylar, her tone flat.
Skylar nodded, briefly glancing at Rowan and Jenny before turning to leave. Her eyes flicked over Jenny for just a moment, enough to unsettle her.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
