Chapter 1062
Natalie froze, her fork hovering over the dish.
She turned rigidly to the doorway and saw Jeremy standing there. Kate looked discreetly at Natalie, noticing how her expression shifted instantly.
She couldn’t help but let out a silent sigh. It was clear she still hadn’t forgiven him.
Now that he was here, there was no way to avoid inviting him in.
Damon asked, “Jeremy, have you had lunch yet? We’re just having lunch. You should join us.”
“Sure,” Jeremy replied without hesitation.
He had always felt at home with Damon and Kate. Whether he had eaten or not didn’t matter. He just joined in as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
When Jeremy caught Natalie’s gaze, he looked deeply into her eyes. Feeling the intensity of that moment, Natalie quickly averted her gaze.
Jeremy tightened his grip on the bag of skincare products he had brought. Even after all this time, she still wasn’t ready to see him.
“I’ll wash my hands first,” Jeremy said, moving confidently through Jakeman Residence. He was familiar with everything here, just as Damon and Kate were familiar with him.
While Jeremy went to the bathroom, Kate leaned in toward Natalie and whispered, “Nath, I can see that Jeremy still has feelings for you.”
“It doesn’t matter if he does. I’ve moved on, Mom,” Natalie replied in a hushed tone.
Her words caused both Kate and Damon to exchange worried glances. They understood now that the possibility of reconciliation between Natalie and Jeremy was slim, and any chance of remarrying seemed distant.
When Jeremy returned from the bathroom, he effortlessly sat beside Natalie, just as always.
The moment he sat down, Natalie felt her back stiffen. Throughout the meal, she found it hard to enjoy the food. It all tasted bland to her.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
