Chapter 1089
This was the real Jenny. She would stop at nothing to achieve her goal.
With her eyes bloodshot, she pointed to the ground below and stared at Rowan. She was taking a chance.
Jenny was sure that Rowan couldn’t bear to let her die. So, as long as he had her, even just a trace, in his heart, he wouldn’t stand by and watch her end her life.
Jenny simply couldn’t lose Rowan.
Skylar glanced at Joe.
Noticing her gaze, Joe looked back at her, and with just a glance, they both knew what the other was thinking–Jenny wasn’t really going to jump.
Rowan was a bit startled. He quickly stepped forward to stop Jenny. “Why are you so foolish? Jenny, breaking up with me is not a loss for you. I’ll give you a breakup fee. After you leave Jipsburg, you can live well wherever you go.”
“Breakup fee? I don’t want it! I’m not short of money! Rowan, I just want to be with you.
“We agreed to get married. You promised. Why can’t we do that just because of these things? As long as you stay with me, Mr. Edwin won’t push me anymore, and I won’t be scared!” Jenny’s eyes were full of hope as she stared at Rowan.
She was staging this scene to force Rowan’s hand. She needed him to agree.
Rowan, seeing the calculating looks in Jenny’s eyes, felt utterly disappointed.
“Spill everything you want to say,” he said, his patience completely gone.
When they were coming up in the elevator, he still had a faint hope that Jenny might show some remorse. If she had, he might have made sure that she had a comfortable life in the future. But now, it was clear that he had been hoping for too much.
Jenny shook her head, still staring at Rowan. Her posture became soft and fragile. “What I want is very simple. I want us to get married!”
She looked at him with anticipation, knowing full well that it wouldn’t be easy for him to agree.
But with the wind blowing so hard on the rooftop and them being dozens of floors up, she thought that they would live with guilt if she ever jumped.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
