My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1438

Skylar and Joe went through many experiences together before they gradually came to trust each other.

Looking back, those days from a few years ago felt like a dream.

Joe let out a soft hum before he released Skylar's hand. Then, he said in a low, gentle voice, "It still hurts."

"Does it still hurt badly? Let me massage it a bit more. You can lie down," Skylar said with concern.

Joe had struggled with poor sleep over the years, and his insomnia now seemed worse than a few years ago.

Although things had improved somewhat recently, he still hadn't returned to his previous state.

It probably had something to do with the car accident, which left him with lingering aftereffects, causing occasional headaches.

Joe particularly enjoyed moments spent alone with Skylar. In truth, his headache wasn't as severe as he made it seem. He just relished how much she cared for him.

Aiken walked into the study and made a few phone calls, giving out several instructions.

Then, he brought a plate of fruits to Simona's room.

He wanted to knock and say a few comforting words. He understood that when it came to emotions, being hurt was naturally painful.

As her brother, he felt he had failed her. Years ago, he let her be bullied, and now she had been deceived. There was just no way he could simply let Stephen go.

Aiken raised his hand, about to knock, but somehow stopped himself. He thought if he went in now, it might only embarrass Simona.

So, he decided not to disturb her.

The university was even considering suspending him until the scandal blew over in an effort to minimize the damage.

He tried to explain, claiming he was being framed and the photos were fake. But none of the university management and lecturers believed him.

Even his dorm mates, who lived with him, were now voicing their distrust, sharing comments about how he rarely stayed in the dorms. Some classmates even accused him of being manipulative.

The flood of criticism overwhelmed him. No matter how much he tried to explain, it only seemed to backfire.

And the worst part was that many of these accusations were true.

Stephen gripped his hair in frustration. He had always been the golden child others admired, rising from a poor background to achieve so much.

So, there was no way he would resign himself to the disgrace of being suspended from university!
