Rosa was stunned by the man, Wilfrid Windrow's words.
Her mind seemed to snap back to reality with the force of a thunderstrike, as though she was slowly realizing the dire situation she was in. Fear gripped her heart immediately.
She hadn't expected her money to run out so quickly.
Despite having a few tens of millions of dollars, her company wasn't making a profit. In fact, it was losing money.
Recently, she and Stephen had been discussing it, and she had been pressuring him. But he kept insisting that he had little experience and that it was only natural for a company to lose money at the start. He reassured her that losses were common in the early stages and they needed to be patient.
She always pretended to be wealthy before Stephen. But in reality, her savings were limited, and it wouldn't take long for them to run out. If she continued losing money at this rate, she would end up broke.
She trusted Stephen, believing he would eventually turn the business around, but now she was truly at her breaking point.
Taking a deep breath, she finally calmed herself. "Alright, tell me what I should do next. From what I see, going straight to Joe today is not an option. You need to think of another way for me."
Wilfrid asked, "I have plenty of ways, but… Tell me honestly, have you and Joe ever slept together?"
Rosa felt embarrassed by the question, but she knew there were some things she could only hide with a lie. "I've spent more than three years with him, almost every day together. We've done everything a man and woman do. Can you stop asking me questions like that? I really don't want to answer anymore."
"Hahaha, alright, I won't ask again. Since that's the case, come to my place tonight, and we'll discuss things properly," Wilfrid said.
Rosa's instincts told her to be cautious. "What would I come to you for?"
"Some things are better discussed face to face. It's not something I can explain over the phone. Time is running out, and you should come if you don't want to end up broke. I don't have much patience, and there are many people who want this opportunity. You're not the only one," Wilfrid said, his tone harsh.
He hung up without waiting for a response.
Rosa bit her lip, a wave of determination rising inside her. She thought to herself, "Fine, I'll go. It's not a big deal. I'm doing this for myself. No one else matters. After all, this is all Joe's fault!"

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
