Ted wasn't sure what Janine was thinking. From his perspective, it seemed she didn't completely trust him, or rather, she seemed afraid of depending on him.
However, he wasn't in a hurry. Over time, she would gradually learn to trust him.
Watching the two of them playfully show off their affection toward each other, Skylar and Steven exchanged quiet words.
"Now we can be at ease. Mr. Read really does love Mom," Skylar said softly.
"Yeah, I was a bit worried before, but now I can relax," Steven replied. He made a mental note to talk to Charles and Harvey later, reminding them not to voice any opposition to Janine's relationship.
Mona, sitting next to Steven, whispered, "Darling, Mr. Read does spoil Mom."
That gave her an idea. She thought about adding a subplot in her new novel where the parents of the male and female leads had their own touching love story.
Sometimes, she even imagined what it would be like when she and Steven grew old. She wondered if Steven would still love her the way he did now.
But that thought was just an occasional one. Most of the time, she was confident that Steven would continue to love her as long as they both put effort into their relationship and worked together to nurture their home.
She believed that they would continue to love each other as they grew older.
…
An hour later, Steven and Mona left first, and then Ted drove Janine home. Skylar drove back by herself.
Not far from Rosetone Residence, she came across a car accident at an intersection.
Two cars had collided, and the scene looked quite scary. Pieces of the vehicles were scattered everywhere.
Ambulances had arrived, and the police were managing the scene. The traffic on that road was temporarily blocked. Skylar glanced at the traffic ahead and behind her and decided to take a different road.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
