My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul novel Chapter 1780

The thought of Thelma and Charles being intimate made Warwick feel sick to his core.

Inside, Thelma ignored his shouting and relentless pounding on the door. Once she calmed down, she immediately called the security guard.

She couldn't fathom how Warwick had managed to bypass the building's excellent security—or how he even knew where she lived. The chilling realization that he might have hired someone to investigate her sent a shiver down her spine. He had crossed too many lines.

Within ten minutes, Warwick's shouting ceased.

She could faintly hear him arguing with the security guards outside. He valued his public image, so she knew he wouldn't risk causing more trouble.

Sitting on the couch, she drank two glasses of water, letting the cool liquid soothe her frayed nerves. Once she felt composed, she picked up her phone and called Charles.

He answered almost instantly.

"Aren't you supposed to be resting? Not following orders now, are you?" Charles teased gently.

Hearing his voice made Thelma's eyes sting with unshed tears. Just moments before, she had been questioning herself, wondering what she had done to deserve someone as genuine and kind as Charles.

Now, his concern unraveled her defenses. She couldn't hold back her tears any longer.

Charles immediately picked up on it. "Are you crying? Were you scared? Don't worry about it. Everything happening right now is just minor. Clement and I are handling it, and the police will track down who faked those photos soon enough. Just trust me, okay?"

His reassurance only made her cry harder, her sobs growing louder.
