Moreover, Vivian's uncles were no pushovers either.
Ten minutes later, Vivian explained the situation downstairs. Of course, she didn't mention which friend had been drugged, nor could she explain anything about Manfred.
After all, the idea of time travel seemed so unbelievable. Anyone would be shocked by it and might even doubt the story's validity. Of course, she figured they would believe her if she told them the truth, but it would only make them worry about her safety even more.
"This is what happened. My friend knows she's wrong and won't go to places like bars anymore," she said.
Paul's and Howard's expressions slowly returned to normal. At this point, Edgar had arrived.
He walked over to Vivian. When he saw that she was unharmed, he finally felt at ease.
"I was so worried! I'm just glad you're fine, Vivian," Edgar said, his anxiety finally dissipating.
Vivian smiled reassuringly. "Don't worry, Edgar. I'm fine! I'll make sure to explain things clearly next time so there won't be any misunderstandings."
"It's not your fault, it's mine. I overcomplicated things. It's getting late, so you all should rest. Paul, Tilda, and I will leave now. If anything comes up, make sure to call me right away," Howard said, standing up.
Paul and Tilda also stood up, preparing to leave. Before they left, Paul gave Vivian one last piece of advice.
"If a stranger offers you something to drink or eat, don't accept it. There are too many bad people in this world, and it's getting too complicated. Do you understand?"
"Got it." Vivian nodded. After giving his instructions, Paul finally felt a sense of relief.
After the two of them left, Edgar stayed behind.

More chapters please...
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
