Viola didn't give Vivian much time to think. She said gently, "You have two choices. The first is to send your parents back while you stay here with Manfred. The second is to leave with them and never see Manfred again."
Upon hearing her words, Vivian's face turned pale.
She stared at the familiar old woman before her, but not a single word came out. She had never faced a choice this difficult before.
Seeing her hesitation, Viola smiled, her voice even softer. "No rush. You can take your time. I'll come back before you reach Graystone, and then you can give me your final decision."
Then, as suddenly as she had appeared, Viola vanished.
The mist that had surrounded her moments ago also faded without a trace.
Looking around at the inn, Vivian knew that what she had just experienced was real.
Meanwhile, in the room next door, Manfred hovered between wakefulness and sleep when he saw an elderly woman with silver hair too.
She asked, "Do you want Vivian to stay? If you agree to one condition, I can make her forget everything and stay with you forever."
His voice trembled as he asked, "Forget everything? Everything from her world? Would she truly be willing to stay? And… does she have feelings for me?"
One question after another spilled from his lips.
Viola looked at Manfred and shook her head with a smile. "You can't be too greedy. Just tell me—do you want her to stay?"
The word "yes" almost slipped out.
But if the price of keeping her was erasing all her memories, then he couldn't go through with it.
He could betray anyone, but he could never betray Vivian.
Seeing his silence, Viola chuckled again. "No need to rush. Take a few days to think about it. If you decide you want her to stay, I'll know."
Viola vanished before Manfred could say another word.

More chapters please...
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
