Chapter 660
Skylar said, “I picked up this new flavor of instant pasta at the supermarket a few days ago. It reminds me of my childhood trips to Jipsburg City with my brothers. We always had Instant pasta on those old, slow trains. We’d thought instant pasta was the best food ever.”
Skylar chatted casually with Joe as she waited for the water to boil.
Joe, leaning against the counter, looked relaxed. “I’ve never been on a train before.”
“You… never took the old trains?”
“Never.”
Skylar was momentarily surprised but quickly remembered Joe’s privileged upbringing. As the heir to a wealthy family, he’d always traveled by private car or plane.
High–speed trains were the norm in recent years, so it made sense he hadn’t experienced the old ones.
“Maybe someday we can try it together. It offers a taste of everyday life and has a charming, down–to- earth feel,” Skylar said with a smile.
When the water boiled, Skylar carefully poured it into the pasta cups. The aroma of instant pasta soon filled the kitchen.
Smilingly, she turned to Joe. “Does it smell good?”
Joe’s gaze lingered on Skylar’s face. He couldn’t look away. He swallowed and replied, “It does.”
The smell of additives would have usually made him recoil, but now it carried a warmth that seeped into
his heart.
Late–night thoughts often wandered, but sometimes they took unexpected leaps. The pasta smelled good, but Joe thought Skylar smelled even better. Suddenly, he found himself wanting something other than pasta–he wanted Skylar.
“Wait a few minutes,” Skylar said, checking the time.
Joe nodded, lowering his gaze as he pondered.
Skylar realized the pasta needed something extra. She then began rummaging through the cabinets and found some sausages. She remembered buying sausages when she bought the instant pasta. After all, sausages were the perfect companion for instant pasta.
A few minutes later, Skylar brought out two steaming bowls of pasta.
“Try this. I added some sausage. It’s not much, but it really enhances the flavor of the instant pasta,” she said with a smile.
Joe eyed the pasta with modest expectations. “It looks good. I’ll give it a try.”
After tasting it, he said, “It’s delicious,” even though he thought it was decent.
Skylar’s eyes sparkled. “I told you it wouldn’t disappoint! Instant pasta isn’t the healthiest, but it’s great for nostalgia.”
“Yeah.” Joe mused that if anyone else had been sitting across from him, he would have avoided the Instant pasta altogether.
They enjoyed their meal in quiet contentment. After finishing, they headed upstairs to shower when Joe’s phone rang.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
