Chapter 735
“They deserve it.”
With that, Joe said nothing more. Charles and Steven had taken care of Skylar meticulously, terrified that Joe would bully her.
They worked hard and did their best to climb up the corporate ranks. Perhaps they wanted to afford their family members the privilege of standing up

When they were about to arrive at Galaxy Villa, Joe picked up a call.
Skylar heard him mention a high school reunion. It would happen tonight on a yacht. She looked down and thought of Vera.
Joe didn’t ponder about it for long. He accepted the invitation within seconds.
In response, Skylar sighed imperceptibly. She said, “Drop me off here. The roads are busy now. I can catch a cab.”

Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
