Skylar hurried to Galaxy Villa right after work.
As soon as she stepped inside, the aroma of fresh fruits caught her attention.
"Grandma, I'm back."
Gloria turned at the sound of her voice. "Skye's back? Come over here and try the cantaloupe from Pearlhall Residence's orchard."
Skylar glanced at Joe, who was eating the cantaloupe. He had already looked up as she entered. Their eyes met for a moment before both turned away in unspoken agreement.
"I could smell the cantaloupe as soon as I walked in. I've been craving it for the past couple of days," Skylar said, moving toward the table.
At that moment, Edgar brought in a plate of freshly cut fruit. The fruit was incredibly fresh, with a strong aroma and exceptional sweetness.
Skylar checked the time after sitting down and eating two slices of cantaloupe.
"Grandma, you all enjoy the fruit. I'm going to prepare dinner so you can taste my cooking," Skylar said as she got up to head to the kitchen.
Gloria quickly stopped her. "No, no, you must be tired after a long day. We have got plenty of people here. Edgar brought a chef with him, and they are all busying in the kitchen. Just rest and wait."
Joe found an excuse to go upstairs. "I have some things to handle. I'll be in my study room."
Gloria gave Joe a disapproving look as he left.
Skylar let out a sigh of relief. Maintaining the façade of a loving couple in front of Gloria felt increasingly awkward, given their current situation. It wasn't as easy-going as it used to be.
About half an hour later, the chef had already finished preparing dinner.
Skylar went upstairs to find Joe in his study room. After knocking a few times, she heard him say, "Come in."
She opened the door and walked in. "It's time for dinner."
Joe looked up at her. His gaze was sharp and intense, as if trying to read her thoughts.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
