Skylar felt a sharp pang in her heart as she looked at Wendy. The latter appeared like a broken doll, with tears in her eyes that never fell. Her face was pale as she stared at her family.
“Wendy, how are you?” Simona asked urgently upon seeing Wendy.
When she returned to school, she faced new classmates, all of whom were a year younger than her. The first person to become her friend was Wendy.
Wendy shook her head weakly. “I… I’m fine.”
But she knew she could never return to school now.
Valencia and Jimmy had initially wanted her to skip college and marry right away. Now, with her current condition… they would surely never allow her to return to school.
“Of course you’re fine! Since you’re fine, hurry up and get discharged. Then, go to the police and clear things up.
“After that, call the parents of those male classmates and demand compensation. From now on, stay at home and don’t cause any more trouble. You’ve really embarrassed us!” Valencia scolded.
Wendy’s body trembled violently. Her face grew even paler, but the tears in her eyes remained unmoved.” Mom, I did nothing wrong. They bullied us, it was them.”
But Valencia, Jimmy, and Keith seemed to be deaf. They acted as if they hadn’t heard her. “You said you did nothing wrong? If you were truly innocent, why would they target you, not someone else? If you hadn’t flirted with them, would they have bullied you?”
“How disgraceful!” Jimmy spat.
“Didn’t you hear what Wendy said? You’re the real jerks!” Simona cried out in anguish.
Wendy must be suffering so much right now.
Skylar asked coldly, “Do you realize that your comments are helping criminals evade justice? Do you understand the consequences?”
Keith sneered and said, “What crime? They’re just students. What do students know? We’ll give them a chance if they just apologize and pay up. Don’t try to scare us.”
Then Keith turned to Wendy, saying, “And Wendy, you should come with us now.”

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
