Chapter 878
Caleb scratched his head. He didn’t dare to look at Skylar, terrified that she would nod.
“I sent Simona multiple texts and called her. She didn’t pick up nor offer me any reply. I went to Apollo Hospital yesterday. I saw Simona, Aiken, Joe, and you there.”
Skylar acknowledged Caleb’s worries. She replied lowly, “It would be best not to disturb Simona during this period of time.”
Caleb’s expression changed. Although he knew the outcome of what happened, he was still furious. Caleb hissed through gritted teeth. “They’ve got a death wish
Simona was an extremely proud girl. It looked like she cared about nothing. She was outgoing and extroverted. However, she had a pure heart. Those kids were too daring for their own good.
“Let’s go upstairs first,” said Skylar.
Caleb clenched his jaw and nodded.
When they went upstairs and were alone together, Skylar asked Caleb with a frown, “Does this mean that all the students of Woodman High have found out about it?”
Had the news got out after just a night?
The police were handling it while the students weren’t in school. The principals and teachers would be investigated as well. It was natural for people to find out.
However, this wasn’t a good thing for Simona and Wendy. They would be faced with a slew of rumors upon returning to school.
“I think only a few students found out. They said that those who bullied Simona and Wendy bragged about
it to a few male students. Although the school prohibited them from talking about it, I believe the students would talk about it amongst themselves anyway,” Alexander said with a frown.
He really wanted to choke the people who bullied her.
Although Aiken wouldn’t let them off, they were utter assholes. Skylar’s expression was grim. Caleb didn’t continue talking about it. Thankfully, her work only needed to be given a conclusion.
When Skylar was done, she saw that Joe had called her. She called him back.

Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
