Chapter 880
“Thanks, but I ate before coming here,” Skylar turned Aiken down politely.
After getting off work, she felt a little hungry. While she was buying food for the girls, she had something to eat too.
Aiken nodded and said, “Alright.” Then, he walked out of the room.
Simona and Wendy didn’t have much of an appetite. They didn’t eat a lot.
Skylar chatted with them for a while. Then, the police arrived. She left the room and waited outside.
Aiken finished his dinner and stood beside her.
“Thank you so much for what you’ve done in the past few days. If not for you, Simona wouldn’t have calmed down so fast,” Aiken said softly.
“Simona is very strong. She had regained her spirits after calming down yesterday. She doesn’t want to make you worry.” Skylar glanced at Aiken. He’d seemed paler after the events of the past few days. There was a crease between his brows that looked like it was there to stay.
Skylar understood how he was feeling. Anyone would be enraged if their sister, whom they’d pampered growing up, had gotten bullied.
Aiken looked at the floor to hide the emotions swirling in his eyes. He didn’t want to freak Skylar out. “Simona likes to keep her thoughts to herself. I got her a psychologist.”
“With the help of the psychologist, I’m sure Simona will be fine.” Skylar had intended to suggest Aiken hire a psychologist. Simona was stil young. She needed the guidance of a psychologist to deal with her emotions.
Although they could stay by Simona’s side while she faced all this, they couldn’t give her inner peace and chase her nightmares away for her.
Aiken agreed, adding. “The psychologist will also conduct therapy sessions for Wendy.”
Skylar was a little surprised. Although she hadn’t known Aiken for long, she could tell he wasn’t the type to stick his nose into other’s business.
However, she’d heard a nurse talking about how Aiken was paying for Wendy’s treatment. He’d even hired a lawyer for her.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
