Chapter 888
It looked no different from a regular fountain pen.
Just as Skylar was about to unscrew the pen to take a look inside, Joe said abruptly, “This isn’t my pen.”
Skylar turned back to look at hint and asked, “What do you mean it’s not yours?”
“I’ve never used it before.” Confusion shimmered in Joe’s eyes.
Had he taken someone else’s pen on accident during a meeting?
“I’ll unscrew it to take a look first.” Skylar wasn’t sure what was wrong with it. However, it made her severely uncomfortable. She took it apart within seconds
In the end, she found out what was wrong. There was a tiny, nearly indiscernible bone nestled into the top of its cap. It was tightly stuck to the top. One wouldn’t have noticed it while popping the cap off. If Skylar hadn’t examined it thoroughly, she wouldn’t have found it either, nor would she have thought it was a bone.
“Do you have a needle? I’ll try to get the bone out,” said Skylar.
“I’ll look for one.” When Joe heard of the bone, his eyes turned cold. Someone had planted a native
item on him without him realizing it!
A few minutes later, Joe found a sewing kit. They would use the needle inside.
Skylar pried at it with the needle multiple times. After a few attempts, she got part of the bone out. Then, she banged the cap on the table. An ivory–colored thing the size of a sesame seed fell out. It was at most two sesame seeds thick.
“This is part of a skull.”
Skylar pulled a tissue from a nearby box and picked the bone up. Then, she wrapped it in tissue.
“Why would it be a skull?” Joe narrowed his eyes.
“I don’t think you’ve used this pen before. If not, you would’ve been affected upon opening the cap.” Skylar explained calmly.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
