Chapter 941
Skylar looked at the three men in front of her.
She noticed Spencer glaring at her angrily. She smirked and glared back at him. The pepper spray had taken effect, and his eyes were still red.
“I can be even more extreme. Would you like a taste of that?” Joe raised an eyebrow.
It was evident that Joe had no patience for any of them.
“You! Did you know that they’d founded companies outside? You were just playing the waiting game. Are you going to acquire all of them?” Ernest suddenly realized what Joe was doing. He got a better understanding of Joe’s ambitions and how ruthless he could be.
If yesterday hadn’t happened, Joe might’ve closed an eye to their antics.
“You can either sell the stocks you have in Martin Group or run the risk of bankruptcy. You have one more day to evaluate your options,” Joe stated coldly.
Ernest, Spencer, and Claudio experienced firsthand Joe’s cruel tactics.
“You!” Ernest was as pale as a ghost. He said, “I’m your grand–uncle. I watched you grow up. Is this how you treat your family members? Don’t you have any semblance of a conscience?”
“If you’d like to hash everything out in the open, I don’t mind. If we do enter a full–on conflict, nothing will save you, not even crying before Grandpa’s grave. Have you made your decision?” Joe asked lazily.
Joe was still willing to show Ernest a spot of deference when they hadn’t hashed everything out. But now… there was no need for that.
“You! Joe, what a man!” Spencer was furious.
However, the panic in his eyes was a dead giveaway. Even his anger toward Joe was mellowed by his fear.
Spencer was his elder. However, he commanded less respect than Joe did.
Ernest used to use his identity as Joe’s grand–uncle to elicit his respect. After last night, it was evident that Joe was no longer in the mood to masquerade as a big, happy family.
He regretted coming yesterday. This might’ve passed without fanfare if they’d let Joe’s anger cool. Who knew Joe hid this ace up his sleeves?

His colleagues sweated profusely behind them. This meant that Joe knew about everything they’d done behind the scenes.
Ernest stared at Joe for a moment before giving in. He said, “We didn’t react well to this. Please give us another chance. As to Derek, he will suffer the consequences he deserves. Before we came here, we asked the doctors about your wounds. They were very serious and near–fatal. I was too anxious and accidentally disregarded your pain.”
“Joe, we’re all one big family, We don’t need to make ourselves into a joke, don’t we?” Spencer began trying to guilt trip him.
Claudio clearly didn’t want to bow to Joe’s will. However, he nodded at Joe under his father’s instructions and apologized, “Grandpa and Dad are right. Our familial conflicts should be resolved behind closed doors. Yesterday, I had a bad attitude. Don’t hold it against me. If that still won’t do, I can be your secretary. I can do whatever Paul does.”

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
