Chapter 955
Skylar recalled how Austin had looked at Natalie before. To her, the look had seemed impure. It was not like the gaze of a boss toward an employee.
Noticing Skylar’s distraction as she stared at her phone, Joe asked, Is something wrong?”
Skylar shook off her thoughts and replied, “It’s nothing. Once we arrive in Fachington, I’ll visit Natalie while you’re working.”
“Okay.”
Vera was attending a friend’s birthday party. After sipping a glass of red wine, she didn’t immediately check her phone when she received a
message.
It wasn’t until she went to the restroom that she looked at her phone. When she saw a photo sent by a friend, her expression changed.
Her friend had messaged. “They’re on the same flight as me to Fachington. They seem to be getting along well, and Joe appears to treat her quite nicely. Are you sure you don’t mind?”
Vera stared at the photo with frustration. It was a casual, candid shot, not very clear. But it was obvious that the two people were sitting closely together, with Joe leaning toward Skylar.
Body language wouldn’t lie. Skylar clearly had a significant place in Joe’s heart. They were even married.
This marriage…
Initially, Vera thought Joe wouldn’t care much about Skylar. After all, it was a flash marriage arranged by Gloria with no emotional
connection. She had hoped that with her return and presence, Joe would lose interest in Skylar.
But now, they were going to Fachington together.
For the past few days, due to the incident with Christopher, she had been holding back and waiting for Joe to make a move and come closer to her.
But now…
She felt Molly was right. Skylar must have used some underhanded tactics. In the face of such tactics, she would clearly be at a
disadvantage.
Thinking about it, she couldn’t stay seated. Vera picked up her phone and dialed a number. “Book me a flight to Fachington for tomorrow.”
Then she texted Molly, “Please have the items you mentioned delivered to my house tonight.”
At Apollo Hospital, Minerva was struggling to leave the operating room. Every step she took was painful in her lower abdomen.
Once inside the elevator, she leaned against the wall, her face pale. She didn’t pay much attention when the elevator stopped, and someone else entered.
*Minerva?”
Hearing the familiar voice, Minerva looked up. It wasn’t an illusion. It was indeed Rowan.
Holding a medical report, Rowan looked at Minerva with surprise. He had never seen her so pale before. “Are you ill?”

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
